To this end, The Arena will administrate and provide a safe, multi functional complex, for equine events, including exhibitions, competition and education."

Kalkaska Horse Project is a grass roots effort started in 1992 by local citizens to improve the equine experience and to develop a beautiful self sustaining facility for the enjoyment of the public and the benefit of the community



For those who have been asking for 2015 show dates: Speed Shows:May 26, June 9, June 23, July 7, July 21, August 4. Twilight Shows: May 19, June 16, July 14, August 11. Fun Shows are May 12 and June 30th. Something new for this year will be Cowboy Mounted Shooting Classes. These classes will be offered immediately after the Twilight Shows.

Monthly meeting is this 2nd Tuesday, , 5:30 PM at the Kalkaska County Government Bldg.

UPDATE Marc 25, 2015

the final approval was made for the 2015 KHP Show Booklet. It will be going to print next week. We will keep you updated. One change to the previous posted schedule: Twilight Show in May will be held on May 12th and the Fun Show will be held on May19th. Make sure you mark your calendars!

Volunteers Wanted !!

We need people who are interested in the Kalkaska Horse Project to attend our monthly meetings. The meetings normally only last 1 hour or less and we need your input. All meetings start at 6:00 PM at the Kalkaska County Government Bldg on Birch Street. Questions - Please call Diane Britton 649-4526 or Belinda Abbey 633-2568 .
